Ingredients
- 1 pound (.5kg) uncooked gnocchi (we used pre-made)
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) butter
- 24 leaves sage
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- parmesan cheese for garnish
Directions
- Bring a pot of salted water to a rapid boil.
- Add the gnocchi to the boiling water. It will be done when most of them start to float to the top. This takes about 3 - 4 minutes so it goes quick.
- While the gnocchi is boiling, melt the butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat and add the sage.
- Once the gnocchi is floating, transfer them from the water to the sauté pan.
- Add the olive oil, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper
- Crank up the heat to medium high and continue to sauté until the gnocchi takes on a toasted color.
- Taste again for seasoning and serve with grated parmesan cheese.
