Ingredients
- Large turkey breasts with the skin on (2)
- Turkey gravy packets (3)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Thyme
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder
Directions
- Season the turkey breasts liberally with salt, pepper, thyme, onion powder, and garlic powder
- On the stovetop, prepare two packets of turkey gravy and get it hot
- Place the turkey breasts in the slow cooker, skin side up, and pour gravy on top
- Cook on high for 4 hours, possibly longer depending on your desired tenderness. Aim for the general tenderness of thanksgiving turkey. If you cook it too long it will start to pull apart which is not what you want.
- Remove the turkey breasts and place under a hot broiler until the skin is browned.
- Taste the gravy in the slow cooker and adjust for seasoning or thickness. If it's too thin, discard some and add another packet of turkey gravy.
- Return the breasts, skin side up, to the gravy and set aside on warm until ready to serve.
- When serving, slice the turkey breast carefully in the crock pot so the gravy sits in the turkey while people are serving themselves.
