Ingredients

  • 25g finely ground coffee (Setting 2 on the grinder listed above. If you don't own a grinder, get your local coffee shop to grind some for you and tell them it's for a Moka Pot.)

Instructions

  1. Unscrew the top of the moka pot.
  2. Take out the filter basket.
  3. Fill the moka pot with hot water up to just below the pressure release valve.
  4. Fill the fitler basket to the top with finely ground coffee. Approximatley 25g.
  5. With you finger to scrape off any excess coffee so the top of the filter basket is level.
  6. Place the filter basket back in the base of the moka pot.
  7. Screw the top of the moka pot onto the base. Use a towel to hold the base while you do this so you don't burn your hands.
  8. Place the moka pot on a hot stove burner with the lid open so you can watch whats happening.
  9. After about two minutes coffee should start slowly trickling out of the top. When you see this turn the heat down low.
  10. When the coffee begins to bubble, close the lid and take it off the burner.
